At Moreno Valley Pest Control we classify as rodents animals like mice, rats, and even squirrels. All of the types or races if you will of these animals can be exterminated as part of our rodent or mice control services. When it comes to bigger animals that may be considered rodents as well we would have to assess each situation individually of course, but we can also offer a removal service. Like our raccoon removal services that make sure these critters are not roaming around eating your wiring or causing a lot more trouble than you’d like.
How Does Our Rodent Control Service Work?
Rodents that live under and within our walls and floors can really cause a lot of damages to all of the installations. In most cases, all of the home electrical wiring runs within walls. These rodents like to eat these wires up and they have been known to even cause major power outages. Some people though are reluctant to call in our rodent control service because they happen to own rodents as house pets. If this is the case, we would advise that you keep your pets away from the areas that we would be working on for a couple of weeks at least to be safe. Another reason is that they are afraid of the way these rodents will die. We apply chemicals that ensure this process is done in the most humane way possible.
How Do I Know If I Need A Rodent or Mice Control Service?
The obvious answer would be if you see mice roaming around of course. One of the major indicators though without seeing the animals outright may be that you are having constant issues with your electronic installations or other types of wiring that runs through your home. This can also sadly already lead to other major renovation costs as the damage will have already been done. Still, we can help you make sure that it doesn’t happen again at least.
Help Preventing Rodent Issues
So far we have covered the obvious reasons why you may need a mice control service or something similar. Like all of the pest issues, the best way to combat them is to avoid them altogether. The best way to do that is to get your home inspected for rodents, bugs, and all other pests at least a couple of times a year. That way we can catch a lot of these critters before they do any damage.
Would I Need To Leave The Property When A Rodent Control Service Is Being Performed?
We don’t have a straight answer for this one. Most of the times we recommend that clients stay away from the property at least a little while after we apply different types of chemicals as a way to avoid uncomfortable smells or just as a precaution. At times if the area that is going to be treated is a bit sealed off though like a backyard shed or deck you wouldn’t necessarily have to leave the property at all.
